". The EPLP welcomes the directive on drivers hours. We believe they will make a major contribution to road safety. We had however reservations about amendment 11 concerning the express delivery industry. While recognising that there may be a problem in some countries we feel that the solution being proposed is unworkable and so could bring the directive into dispute. Accordingly we chose to abstain on that amendment."@en1
