". 'The ALDE group tabled an amendment to the 2006 calendar which would have ended all plenary sessions at lunchtime on Thursdays and started the Brussels sessions at 10.30 on the Wednesday. The purpose of this was to ease Members' travel from Strasbourg and to suppress the fag-end Thursday afternoon sessions.
