It is necessary to reform the sugar market in order bring it in line with CAP reform. However, time must be allowed for sugar production in the EU, ACP and LDCs to adapt to an open market situation. We are disappointed that the report does not support the cross border quota transfer within the EU which would allow sugar producers in Europe to become more efficient and competitive."@en1
