Since submitting this question, I have indeed received confirmation from various quarters that this is fairly systematic practice to such an extent that European manufacturers of PET bottles suffer huge losses as a result. It does therefore seem important to me that the Commission should ask OLAF to launch an inquiry. I can, moreover, inform the Commissioner that the European manufacturers, in line with procedures, have submitted a request to review anti-dumping legislation. My question is therefore very specific, Commissioner. Are you, given the seriousness of the situation and the implications this may have for our industry, prepared to follow this up promptly?"@en1
