"Thank you, Commissioner. I will take on board your comments about referring this back to the UK. However, I want to follow this up. Under the current provisions, although permission should be sought, there are no guarantees that it will be. If somebody can be tracked without their knowing it, that has very serious implications. For the person being tracked, their personal security is violated; they may be, for instance, under the threat of violence. There is a whole range of very serious civil liberties issues here. I urge you to take this very seriously. I will take it up in the UK and hope that you will pursue it here."@en1
