"We support a free and democratic Ukraine and, thus, the main arguments of the resolution. Ukraine is a potential member of the EU and must therefore be assured of democratic development. We are definitely opposed, however, to the EU’s being given an increasing role within foreign and security policy. As the only pan-European security organisation and as a monitor of the Ukrainian election, the OSCE should have the main responsibility for mediating in the conflict between the government and the opposition. The EU should therefore operate within the framework of the OSCE."@en1
