"At the last part-session, we were told by Mr Farage that there were good reasons why the French Commissioner should not in fact become a member of the Commission. This House ridiculed Mr Farage’s comments and accused him of being misinformed. It has now become apparent that his information was correct, and that the vote took place at a time when everyone was sure that this Commissioner was beyond reproach. To put it another way, the vote took place when this House was in possession of false information. Parliament must reopen the debate on this issue, and I should like to lend my whole-hearted support to Mr Farage’s proposal."@en1
