lpv:translated text	". The terrible civil war on Bosnian territory has left marks that are still in evidence today. Nevertheless, the country is enjoying a degree of social peace and institutional normality, something that the EU should be encouraging and supporting. Given that the implementation of political reforms in Bosnia Herzegovina took longer than was provided for by Council Decision 2002/883/EC, I believe that the process must be applied to this case as a matter of urgency. This Decision must, indeed, be amended so that, extending its period of validity, the third instalment of additional macrofinancial aid can be paid to the country, thereby strengthening the economic sustainability and institutional reforms underway.
