"Mr President, the European Council should understand that the British people have never voted to be governed by former communists, especially those who helped to enforce the Soviet occupation of Eastern Europe. Neither do we want unelected commissioners who hide their murky involvement in the corrupt use of public money, tax evasion and bribery.
We demand a duty of care from our government, which is why, last week, I gave detailed information about institutionalised corruption in this place to the Serious Fraud Office in London and I called on the British Government to withhold all future funding of the European Union under the terms of the Vienna Convention. No British Parliament has ever voted to pass British taxpayers' public money to third parties who cannot be trusted."@en1
