"Mr President, it appears that being prudent in this House is penalised. I wanted to speak after the vote on the Boogerd-Quaak report, and not before, to avoid joining the general free-for-all, for one reason: to place myself at the disposal of the Presidency. I was on the Committee on Citizens’ Freedoms and Rights, Justice and Home Affairs and saw the people looking for the documents when they disappeared. Mr Hernández Mollar is right in saying that he knew nothing and that no group got up. On this committee all the groups and the chairman worked very reasonably together until, after our work, this row blew up. Mr Barón is completely right, and he is not lying when he says that this is what happened. I am at your disposal to clarify any point concerning this issue and, of course, it is untrue to say that Mr Barón lied. I myself told him about the matter."@en1
