This is an attitude unworthy of the government which seeks to give the world lessons in democracy, but is clearly violating human rights in this particular case, given the conditions under which the trials took place, and the appalling conditions in which the men are being held. Does the Council intend to adopt any measure in keeping with international law, which covers human rights and the Geneva Agreements on prisoners? Is the Council aware of the degrading and humiliating treatment which the wives of these men are being subjected to by the US Government?"@en1
