You very kindly, on behalf of the House, took it up with Commissioner Byrne, who is fortuitously here present. I am glad to report that the Scotch Whisky Association has reached a consensual settlement of that difficult question for the time being. I hope that it will be possible for the whole matter to be resolved through satisfactory industry standards. The attention that this House and other public bodies paid to this matter was instrumental in reaching a solution, so I thank you and encourage you all to celebrate the New Year of 2004 with an appropriate beverage!"@en1
