"Mr President, it pains me to have to say that one of the Members has been condemned today in a report produced by the highest financial court in France, the
which impugns the management of an anti-racist association, alleging not only the embezzlement of special public funds but also the use of those funds for despicable ends, above all for personal gain, as unreturned and other loans.
As I am not in the habit of mincing my words, I can reveal that the culprit, among others – among others, but not alone – is Mr Fodé Sylla. I am not a judge, and I am not pursuing these allegations personally, but, since their gravity is such as to prejudice the good name of one of our Members, I feel that, in the absence of a committee of inquiry, Parliament should establish a court of honour, with Mr Sylla’s agreement."@en1
