lpv:spoken text	"Yesterday I was deeply shocked at the news of further deaths of journalists who are putting their own lives at risk to cover this war. In the light of the news, I issued a press release on behalf of the Parliament expressing our sincere condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of those journalists. It also appealed to the United States and the United Kingdom to take account of the fact that the journalists are performing a very special and invaluable function in terms of the flow of information to the public, and that, as far as possible in the circumstances of this war, special care and attention should be given to their needs. I repeat that appeal here today from this platform. We value the contribution of journalists, it is deeply to be regretted that there have been so many casualties, and it shows the extent of the commitment of that profession to inform us, in an open way in our democratic societies, of all that happens."@en1
