Therefore, the Copenhagen figures could not have been maximum figures, since the figures that we have seen since are actually larger. I would like to have the Commissioner's view of what will happen if the Council puts the Copenhagen figures into the accession treaties. As you know, we will be discussing this next week with the Presidency in Athens. But as a Parliament, we face the dilemma that the Council may put in these figures to make sure that we vote for the accession treaties. If that is the case, what about Article 25 of the Interinstitutional Agreement and what role will Parliament have in renegotiating or reassessing the financial perspective? If the Council does that, how would the Commissioner assess the value of the financial perspective?"@en1
