lpv:spoken text	"I should like to give you the results of the second ballot in the vote of the election of the Ombudsman: Members voting – 535; Blank or spoiled ballots – 26; Votes cast – 509 Absolute majority – 255. The votes cast were as follows: Mr Diamandouros, 294 votes, Mr Perry, 215 votes. Mr Diamandouros has obtained the majority of the votes cast. I therefore declare him to be the European Ombudsman. I congratulate him on his appointment and invite him, in due course, to take an oath before the Court of Justice, pursuant to our Rules of Procedure. I should like not only to congratulate our new Ombudsman, but to take the opportunity to place on record our thanks for and appreciation of the work of the first Ombudsman of the European Union, Mr Söderman."@en1
