"Here’s to environmental information! It is extremely important and constructive that the public – including the elderly and pensioners – should know all about the environment. Madam President, I dreamt of the rapporteur, Mrs Korhola, who, as we know, after Mrs Grossetête – who with her French charm bewitched many others as well as myself from the outset – is one of the beauty queens of the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats. Now, our beautiful Mrs Korhola – I will deal with the other groups on future occasions – was actually at the information desk in this dream of mine, giving the public information on the environment. How could I vote against the directive? This is why I voted for it gladly."@en1
