"I was unable, Mr Poettering – for you, together with Mr Mantovani, are the only person left listening to me – to dream about the report, but I did dream about Mr Mantovani last night. In my dream, Mr Mantovani was also having a dream. What was Mr Mantovani dreaming in Mr Fatuzzo’s dream? He was dreaming that he was the rapporteur of a document in which the countries that are currently poor had become wealthy and the countries that are currently wealthy had become poor. He was proposing that the countries which are currently poor but were wealthy in the dream should write off the debts of the countries which are currently wealthy but were poor in the dream. How did the dream end, Mr President? Enter Mr Fatuzzo. Being a clever accountant who is good with figures, he decided that the debts should be written off and the slates of the poor countries wiped clean. I would therefore like to congratulate Mr Mantovani and thank Mr Poettering for listening to me, and you too, Mr President, for listening to me patiently as always."@en1
