Health and safety is of course very important but we must be mindful that we propose texts which are based on sound scientific evidence and research. To put an eight hour limit on working on vehicles such as tractors – I am concerned as to the effect it will have on the farming industry by the nature of their work, but am also concerned that this will effect small farmers and those who work in small quarries and mines the most as they will not have the manpower for a workable rota system."@en1
