lpv:translated text	"Mr President, this report by Mrs Carlotti discusses widely, comments on, assesses and calls for changes in the way the work of the Joint ACP-EU Parliamentary Assembly is organised. The ACP states, as we know, are the states of Africa, Central America and the Pacific, and are somewhat dispersed throughout the world. They would like to emulate Europe by implementing similar economic organisation and, I hope, political union as well as far as is possible. I endorse the contents of this report – and therefore voted for the motion – but I hope that the forthcoming session of the Joint ACP-EU Parliamentary Assembly will include debates on the issues of welfare, social exclusion and assistance for the many poorer people in the ACP States."@en¹
