I was not able to take part in yesterday’s vote on the Caudron report, and consequently did not spot a mistake that I would like to point out to my fellow Members. As a result of a mistake by Parliament staff, a proposal for an amendment – No 20 – that we had tabled to the Caudron report on the research programme was mistakenly included in the Euratom report. I do not intend to dwell on this subject, because other amendments by other Members have addressed the same issue. I do wish to make this observation, however, because people were probably surprised that the insertion of the amendment made no sense at all in the context of Euratom."@en1
