"Mr President, this document too deals with the procedures for spending the funds that the European Union has available for improving the situation in which the less fortunate European citizens live. On this point, as the Pensioners’ Party representative, Mr President, I should like to point out to Parliament as a whole, which is listening to me so carefully, as you see – I am referring of course to the television monitors that are on in our offices – that the Pensioner’s Party is requesting a rise, a marked increase in the funds that the European Union should have at its disposal to implement its activities and policy. What we receive is too little. In my view, it is alms for Europe. Europe should have much, much more for all the European citizens who need to see this Europe as important and close to them."@en1
