Mrs Izquierdo Rojo is well aware that the presidency of the Council has to remain above the Member States and also above any political or ideological disputes. She will therefore understand that for these reasons I cannot answer the questions she has just asked.
I would just like to make a general remark, in a personal capacity. If the members of any government whatsoever do not react quickly enough to problems with food or other consumer products, they are taken to task. If they act as soon as they believe there are sufficient grounds for doing something, they are accused of causing chaos and financial losses. It is not easy to be a minister these days!"@en1
