The Commission’s assessment is that there will be minimal consequences in the medium term. The honourable Member also indicates other possible measures that multinational companies can take on the basis of these changed rules. I assume that there will subsequently be continuous monitoring by the Commission so that this new organisation of the market in bananas is not abused.
