"Conservative MEPs have supported this report even though we do not believe that the euro is appropriate for the UK. We do, however, want it to be a success in the hands of those who have accepted it and we recognise the fact that since its arrival, the City of London has handled the 'lion's share' of currency transactions in the euro. Consequently, many jobs depend upon the safe dealing in that currency and we therefore support this initiative in protecting against counterfeiting."@en1
