According to my group, the protection of human rights inside and outside Europe forms an integral part of this. Homosexual rights are human rights. We in Europe must, therefore, take a firm stand against any development, wherever in the world, which encourages slander against, or the exclusion or persecution of people, on the basis of sexual orientation.
