lpv:spoken text	"I would like to support, in particular, Amendments Nos 13 and 16, 19 and 20. I tabled similar amendments in the Culture Committee. These were amendments to help to ensure that disabled users benefit equally from electronic communications. Service providers must recognise their role in facilitating access to terminal equipment for disabled users and the framework directive must include, in my opinion, access to terminal equipment and software. Article 7(4)(e) says that they are keen to address the needs of specific social groups, in particular disabled people. That is meaningless without these amendments. We do not want to regulate all equipment sold on the high street but the interfaces should be regulated for vision-impaired people, for instance. The menu on television or mobile phones should have an audio alternative. It is a small change. It is not much to ask but it would affect the lives of disabled people and mean that they could be included in the electronics communications revolution instead of being excluded."@en1
