"Mr President, I am sure you will listen carefully to my explanation of vote in support of this report. I am in favour of anything which streamlines or simplifies, provided that the process is not too tiresome for those undergoing the streamlining and is carried out rationally. I therefore stress that, in this operation of simplifying and streamlining Community legislation on the social security coordination sector – to which this report refers – we must bear in mind that it would be appropriate for workers who work in more than one State of the European Union to receive a single pension from a single pension office rather than part of it from one State, part of it from another State and part of it from yet another."@en1
