"Mr President, since Mr Liese has addressed a question to us, I will take the liberty of answering him. The Green Group is not dependent on the positions of the Green ministers represented in the Environment Council. We have freedom of choice, and I would hope the same applies to all the political groups here present.
But I wanted to speak specifically on the vote on Amendment No 37. I think it is quite logical to vote on Amendment No 11 first, before Amendment No 37, because Amendment No 11 goes further than Amendment No 37. It proposes a total ban on antibiotic-resistant marker genes, which is not the case in Amendment No 37, which relates only to Part C of the directive. So I believe it would be more logical to vote first on the amendment that departs furthest from the original position."@en1
