In his letter, he levelled heavy criticism at our Committee on Budgetary Control regarding the way it carries out its function. We have not received a reply from Mrs Fontaine yet, but you will understand – and your presidency will feel the same – that this letter has caused a great deal of consternation, to put it mildly. Mr Prodi has also written a letter to Mr Söderman in which he criticised the way in which Mr Söderman thinks he should exercise his duties. Mr Söderman has replied to this letter, and we do have this reply. We would like to know how the presidency has dealt with this correspondence."@en1
