"Madam President, I would simply like to add to what Mrs Gröner has said. We have indeed learned that during the plenary sessions in Brussels and Strasbourg – Strasbourg is not the only place this happens – there was a massive influx of prostitutes, and in particular young women from Eastern Europe. You will be aware that terrible things happen to these women, that they are tortured and their families threatened. It is not only in Strasbourg that this happens. I believe that we should all sit down and discuss this, that this Parliament should denounce this state of affairs and above all that it should play a full part in eradicating such modern-day slavery."@en1
