"Madam President, I would like you to inform us as to whether there is any truth in the rumour that – and if this were to happen, I believe it would be disastrous for the information policy of the European Parliament – the press reports covering the part-sessions in all languages of the European Union are to be discontinued. These press reports have always been extremely useful as they reach a wide audience and make known in each language the activities of the MEPs speaking a particular language or from a particular national party. That is why it is something that we, if you like us older MEPs and Members of the previous European Parliament, are quite perturbed about. If this is the intention, then we would like to know."@en1
