"Mr President, the accident in Japan has again reminded us of the very great risks associated with nuclear power. Again, it was human error which caused the accident but, as human beings, we are made in such a way that we easily make mistakes. It is this which is the big risk in connection with nuclear power.
The export of MOX from Sellafield in Great Britain means that both Great Britain and the EU are involved in this problem. That is why I personally share the points of view expressed in the draft amendments submitted by the Greens. We in the Liberal Group do not, however, consider that they are sufficiently at home with this issue. We shall therefore abstain in the vote."@en1
