lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, we have to change this resolution in one important respect and it is for a gratifying reason. In paragraph 1 we urge the Council to publish its report on arms exports – and the Council has now decided to do so. When we have the vote this afternoon I would like to make an oral amendment to that effect, noting with satisfaction that the Council has published its report. This is a very good example of transparency. It is a good example for the Member States, it is a good example for the EU as a whole, and we can all be happy that at least we have achieved some progress in this field. Finally I would like to note that what we do jointly as a Union in this area has a lot of influence. This really is progress, when we can act together on this issue, and when what individual countries are doing is less important."@en1
